ALOO DUM GRAVY






Serves: 2 persons

Ingredients

1. Baby potato ½ kg (Prick with a fork and cook for 1 or 2 whistles in the pressure cooker)
2. ½ teaspoon mustard seeds
3. ½ teaspoon asafoetida
4. Curry leaves (8 to 10)
5. 2 bay leaves
6. 2-3 cloves / Llong
7. 1 teaspoon saunff / fennel seeds
8. 2-3 green cardomom/choti illachi
9. 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
10. 1½ kashmiri chilli powder
11. 1½ coriander powder
12. ½ teaspoon jeera powder or cumin powder
13. ½ garam masala powder
14. 1 teaspoon dry ginger powder or soonth
15. 3 teaspoons of Aamchur powder
16. 1½ teaspoon salt
17. 2 medium sized onions finely chopped
18. 3 to 4 tomatoes medium sized
19. ½ cup curd
20. Coriander leaves chopped
21. 3 tablespoon oil

Note: Roast saunff, llong and illachi on slow flame and powder it in a mixer or hand pound it.
